I work at the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory, in the Scientific Computing Department's Research Infrastructure Group, as a System Administrator. I am part of the UK eScience Certification Authority team, where I help develop our bespoke software for running the certificate authority, maintain the Hardware Security Modules and other systems underpinning the CA. I also help maintain our Icinga monitoring infrastructure for most services inside the department.
I am also involved with public engagement activities in STFC, such as the Remote^3 project, which gets school students to design LEGO rovers for remote hostile environments.
I graduated in 2019 with a degree in Computer Science from the University of Kent, and started on the STFC graduate scheme soon afterwards.
