​​I joined Scientific Computing's Distributed Computing and Infrastructure Group (DCIG) at STFC in 2021 through the PhD conversion scheme, having previously completed a PhD at Aberystwyth University in 2020 modelling X-ray fluorescence from the surface of Mercury.

Within DCIG I am a member of the Grid Services team, where I am the deputy service manager for the File Transfer Service (FTS) which is responsible for distributing the majority of the LHC data across the grid. I am also a member of the Grid Tools team where my role involves doing some software development for APEL accounting and GOCDB. In addition to the technical aspects of my role, I am also involved in the public engagement activities carried out by the department.​
