​​​​As Research Information and Evaluation Analyst (Open Science), Abigail advises Scientific Computing and STFC's other National Laboratories on evolving requirements of research evaluation and provides support around data and analysis related to Open Science outcomes, indicators, and services.

Previously, Abigail worked on the Horizon 2020 ExPaNDS project, which focused on enabling FAIR data at Photon and Neutron Research Infrastructures, including here in the UK at ISIS and Diamond. She continues aspects of this work under the umbrella of Horizon Europe's FAIR-IMPACT.

As an analyst, Abigail has expertise in responsible metrics and strategic research intelligence as well as a diverse background in statistics and machine learning, social network analysis, management information and business analytics, and futures and foresight. On the information side, Abigail has worked in knowledge management, in Open Science support services, and in data and information provision for large science facilities. She is also a qualified librarian and a former university lecturer in postgraduate research methods and academic writing.

Prior to moving into analysis and information, Abigail's first career was in music. ​
