Kevin is a Technical Architect and Software Engineer with experience of running and developing scientific data catalogues for large scale scientific facilities.
During his time in the Software Engineering Group, Kevin has worked on the data catalogues for all of the three STFC facilities at the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory: the ISIS Neutron and Muon Source, the Central Laser Facility and the Diamond Light Source. Kevin also has experience of the software systems that are run to capture users' proposals for experimental time at CLF and ISIS, having worked for a year as a Team Lead in the ISIS Business Applications group.
Prior to working for the Scientific Computing Department, Kevin worked as a software engineer for the European Space Agency at the European Space Research and Technology Centre (ESTEC) in The Netherlands. He worked on the Planck and Herschel space observatory missions as well as the more widely known and extremely successful Rosetta comet mission.
