I joined the STFC graduate scheme in March 2021, after graduating with an MSci in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge. I completed my first rotation in the Distributed Computing Infrastructure Group, and will soon be starting my next project in the Theoretical and Computational Physics Group.
During my first rotation, I worked on a service registry and topology database known as GOCDB. My main aims were to implement a secure, self-service mechanism for identity linking, and to investigate mechanisms to migrate GOCDB's data to an open-source database and verify the correctness of the process. My next project will be looking at low-energy antimatter rearrangement for the CERN ALPHA project.
