John Kewley (JK) is Support Centre Manager for the UK eScience Certification Authority, IRIS Project Secretary and the BCS Senior Mentor on STFC's Graduate Training Scheme.

John's technical background was in developing computer languages, compilers and software tools for parallel and distributed systems at ICL before he spent 3 years at the Swiss Centre of Scientific Computing where he was the Head of Software Engineering. He has been the Support Centre Manager for the UK eScience Certification Authority for over 10 years, is the Project Secretary for IRIS and is the Senior Mentor on the STFC Graduate Training Scheme.

He is a Fellow of the British Computer Society, Chartered IT Professional and Chartered Engineer.

In his spare time he is a member of the British Trail Orienteering team, a Director of the National Navigation Award Scheme and volunteers for Cheshire Search and Rescue team.​
