​​​I joined the STFC graduate scheme in 2017 after completing a degree in Ethical Hacking and Network Security at Coventry University. Since then I have completed projects working on Identity Management systems, Data Management and Policy, Openstack Cloud Development and Operations, Web-app design, and Container Systems Management. On top of the technical skills I’ve been able to develop over my first two years I’ve also been able to get involved in a wide variety of public engagement activities focusing largely on introducing young people to programming, as well as introducing a variety of audiences​ to the work we do through tours of our datacenter.​ Jacob joined the Cloud team in January 2020, where he spends his time providing user support and developing new features.​
