I am a computational scientist on the CCP-EM project, developing tools to improve speed, efficiency, and reproducibility in cryo-electron microscopy data processing. This includes fully automated and scriptable data processing processing pipelines which dynamically respond to incoming data and an API for the Relion software package.
After earning my Ph.D. in biochemistry from the University of Washington, Seattle I worked as a postdoc at the University of Leeds, using multiple electron microscopy techniques to study integral membrane proteins and the structure, formation, and dynamics of amyloid fibrils.
