​​​​​​​​​​​Gordon is the Head of the Ada Lovelace Division, and Facilities Programme Manager in STFC’s Scientific Computing Department. In this role, Gordon is responsible for the delivery of projects and running of key services for ISIS, Diamond Light Source and the Central Laser Facility as well as collaborations further afield with the Culham Centre for Fusion Energy.
In his previous roles, Gordon spent six years working at STFC between 2004-2010 in a variety of positions including running the Database Services team and latterly leading the Data, Communications and Information group. Gordon left STFC in 2010 and led the Data Team at a leading financial institution before returning to his current role in late 2016.
