​​​Gabin is a computer scientist whose research interests include computer vision, machine learning, virtual reality, information and data science. He is with the Scientific Computing Department's Data division where he joined the Open Science Services after starting at the Data Science and Technology group.

Gabin is currently part of FAIRsFAIR, a European Union's Horizon 2020 project, which aims to supply practical solutions for the use of the FAIR data principles throughout the research data life cycle with emphasis on fostering FAIR data culture and practices in Europe. With the STFC, his role focuses on the development of a virtual Competence Centre as ​focal point of reference concerning FAIR data for research communities.​​
