Senior Software Engineer

Alex is a Senior Software Engineer within the Data & Software Engineering Group where he currently works on the ICAT project.

Prior to that, he led the design and development effort of the cloud-based data infrastructure for the DAFNI project. He is also studying for a MSc in Computer Science at the University of Bath.

Before joining STFC, Alex spent most of his career building safety critical systems in the Defence Industry, working across all three branches of the Armed Forces. He has flown with the Army Air Corps, sailed aboard a Trafalgar-class nuclear submarine with the Royal Navy and assisted in the evaluation of the Typhoon G-suit at the centrifuge facility in Farnborough, Hampshire.​
