Biography
I am a senior data scientist in the SciML group. My current research focuses on developing machine learning models for microscopic imaging and x-ray scattering to improve and/or automate the imaging system. I have experience in mathematical and statistical modelling for biophysical systems, medical imaging, and complex solid materials. I obtained my Ph.D. in computational materials physics from Northeastern University, Boston, USA. Previously, I worked in the Fritz Haber Institute of the Max Planck Society, Berlin, and the University of Leeds as a research associate.
Research Interests
- Deep reinforcement learning to solve vision-based control problems such as autofocusing of microscope imaging.
- Deep learning and generative modelling for the interaction of light and materials to understand their electronic properties.
