​​My role in SCD is to develop theoretical and computational approaches in support of SuperSTEM, the EPSRC National Research Facility for Advanced Electron Microscopy, based at Daresbury Laboratory. I am involved in developing software to give theoretical insight into Electron Energy Loss Spectroscopy (EELS) and running computational simulations for users of the facility.

Prior to joining SCD I obtained my PhD from the University of York in 2016, and then worked as a Research Associate at the University of Liverpool, where I wrote, developed, and applied the crystal structure prediction code ChemDASH.​
