Lesley is a Technical Project Manager for the Software Engineering Group. She manages both technical and scientific projects within the Scientific Computing Department, as well as collaborations with ISIS and Diamond Light Source.
Before becoming a Project Manager Lesley was a software developer, starting out her career back in 1996. Even though she doesn't like to admit to this, it was her COBOL and mainframe development skills that brought her from South Africa to the UK - to work on a Y2K programme (remember that?!) Lesley has worked for a range of industries including consultancy, utilities, telecommunications, retail, waste management, marine data, hydraulics engineering and reinsurance.
