Dr Jens Jensen is a mathematician, scientist, research software
engineer, IT project manager and people manager who tends to work in research
infrastructure security, data security, data science and (previously) managing
large scale scientific data. He is responsible for the UK eScience
Certification Authority - which represents the UK in IGTF (www.igtf.net) since the early noughties; and
until 2020 led the group managing Large Hadron Collider data in the UK in
GridPP (www.gridpp.ac.uk). He currently
works with EOSC Future (https://eoscfuture.eu/)
and IRIS (www.iris.ac.uk) where he works
mainly with federated identity, authentication and authorisation. He works with
DAFNI (www.dafni.ac.uk) in data security,
digital twin technologies and infrastructure models. Since 2018 he is Data
Science Champion for the STFC Food Network where he supports projects funded by
STFC, usually with Internet of Things, data science and data security.
