​​​Ian has more than 30 years' experience utilising parallel and distributed systems for scientific data processing, including software development and support for commercial seismic data processing organisations and, in the IT Department at CERN, grid security and operations preparing for data taking from the Large Hadron Collider. He joined SCD in 2015 and works in the Distributed Computing Infrastructure Group on federated infrastructure security policy and core services development in the context of the UK IRIS, European H2020 EOSC-hub and global WLCG projects.
