This popular Summer School was aimed at newcomers to the science of molecular simulation so the majority of participants were early-career PhD students.  They were given a comprehensive introduction to the subject from lecturers who, each morning, took them through a variety of of elementary molecular simulation subjects.  In the afternoons students took part in a series practical workshop sessions where they were able to try some hands-on computational exercises.

The last three days of the school were dedicated to more advanced methods of molecular simulations, in the fields of First Principles, Biomolecular Simulations and Mesoscale, while Invited speakers provided them with a flavour of real-life simulations being used in both industry and academia.

Poster sessions and student talks took place on three of the evenings, with prizes being given to those judged the best.
