Antony Wilson is a senior research software engineer and deputy manager for the Software Engineering Group in the Scientific Computing Department at STFC
Antony started work at Rutherford Appleton Laboratory in 2001 in the Particle Physics Department. He spent a number of years working on grid computing projects for the LHC. In 2010 he moved to the E-Science, now Scientific Computing, Department. Here he spent a number of years developing interfaces to the in-house data catalogue (ICAT). He has experience with controlled vocabularies and ontologies as well as digital object identifiers. He is on the technical steering group for DataCite. For the last couple of years, he has been working in close collaboration with the Met Office on a high profile project to deliver climate projections for the UK up to the year 2100 (UKCP18).
