​​​Alex is both the architect of the STFC Cloud and the Group Leader of the newly formed “Cloud Operations Group", an important organisational change at STFC which reflects the continued growth in terms of size and significance for the STFC Cloud.  Alex has now been at STFC for nearly 6 years and much of that time has been spent building and managing the STFC Cloud and its team from conception.  Prior to STFC, Alex worked for a Windows software house, initially as a developer, before progressing to manage their Storage, Networking and Virtualisation systems.​
