​​​​​Alejandra leads the Data & Software Engineering Group in the​ Scientific Computing Department at STFC. 

The group works on:

• ​​​software for data  - we design, develop and run bespoke software systems to manage the experimental data produced by the large scale scientific facilities at the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory. These facilities include lasers, particle accelerators, neutron and muon sources.  ​
  

• software for software - we run the system providing automated testing through continuous integration for software produced at STFC 
  

• software for publications - we host a system for holding the scientific publications produced at STFC​​
  

  
  

Before joining STFC, she worked around data and knowledge management solutions at the University of Oxford and University College London, after doing a PhD in Computer Science in Queen's University Belfast, UK and an MSc in Computer Science from the National University of Rosario in Argentina.
